Ye Olde Michelevil Bloge

Thanks to an amazing tool called The Way Back Machine, we've been able to recover some (but sadly not all) of the old blog.  It's got November 2006 - October 2007, but unfortunately nothing after that.  Yet...?

I'm going to try to re-post things here in case, godforbid, we lose that much too.  But for now, here are links to the archive:

November 2006 - After a month in London, Our arrival in Oz

December 2006 - Christmas, Boxing Day, Summer in Sydney

January 2007 - New Year's Eve, Boring Cricket, P-Platers Running Amok, Our First Australia Day, A Tour of Aussie Beer

February 2007 - Our Apartment, Dog Races, Luna Park, Watson's Bay, Year of the Pig Parade, A Weekend Getaway to Hunter Valley (Wine Country)

March 2007 - Mom and Dad (VP) visit and we explore Australia (Adelaide, Alice Springs, Uluru, Great Barrier Reef and more!)

April 2007 - Singapore!

May 2007 - Working in Australia and the Launch of Australia.com

June 2007 - Vebbers' Visit (Bridge Climb, Australia Zoo), Singing at the Opera House, The Pasha Bulker is Stuck

July 2007 - Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.  Winter in Sydney

August 2007 -  Hong Kong, APEC Comes to Town

September 2007 - We Drive to Melbourne, We Buy a Scooter

October 2007 - Taronga Zoo, Sydney Festivals, Australian Idol

And that's what we've got for now.  We left Oz in April 2008 so I know there are more posts out there.  Somewhere.  Hope to find them one day...

Baby Shower!

Time to get the blog up and running again.

We lost everything (a curse on you eblogs!) from the last blog, and it was a tough blow to get over.  We may have found some of it on the way back machine, but I'll get to that in another post soon.

This weekend was my baby shower!  It was a wonderful time - thank you again Patty and Mom for all the work organizing and worrying over every detail.  It really paid off.  Btw, it did not escape me that everyone was hammered by the end.  Everyone but me.  Eight more weeks...

Stacie came in from LA and helped set up.

Patty, Dad and Jason, three of my favorite people in the world, hung out before the party started (then the boys took off for the local bars)
The family ladies: me (and Baby Girl Steinberg), Marietta, Mom and Denise

I wore this as a baby!    Can't believe you kept it all these years Mom.

The very talented Laura (who is too pregnant to travel so attended via skype) knitted me a bunch of beautiful things, including this adorable hat and booties.

There was delicious cake (I could talk about this cake for hours - chocolate.. buttercream frosting...) I insisted on a corner piece *with* a rose and almost went into diabetic shock.  Mmmmm sugar.

Stacie brought these booties all the way from Thailand

And Patty poured her heart and soul into her gift.  It will have a prominent home in the nursery.

That's more than enough pictures of me and my chins.   Everyone was very generous with the adorable outfits and other necessities.  Babies sure do need a lot of shit.

I've got to get back to writing the thank yous... and maybe have one more piece of cake.  Stay tuned for more blog goodness!
